The Side Loader Forklift is a specialized material handling solution where the forks are mounted on the side of the body. Unlike counterbalanced trucks, the forks can traverse to the right side of the truck frame and retract, allowing long cargoes to be carried on the truck deck. This design is ideal for transporting bulky items in limited spaces.
By piling long cargoes lengthwise along the platform, the required passageway width is remarkably reduced. This truck is particularly suitable for handling timber, section steels, poles, cement tubes, and plastic pipes. It finds wide application in forestry, railway stations, ports, and construction sites.
